David J.A. Beal
Group Managing Director
Having been involved in industrial textiles all his life, David is familiar with almost all levels of textile operation, from weaving through to dyeing, processing, finishing and finally with fabrication - specialising in customised products, development of products and bulk manufacturing.
In 2007, after his father’s death, David acquired Tony Beal Ltd, the core company formed by his late father in 1979. David has actively grown and developed the business and acquired other companies since then to form the Beal group of companies.
The group now has UK coverage and services the defence, oil & gas, airmotive, automotive, transport, engineering, modular building, leisure, commercial, construction and fishing industries.
David’s role is group managing director and continues to look at strategic growth, acquisitions, product development and overseas opportunities.
Graham Thom
Chairman
Graham has been Chairman of The Beal Group since 2007. His main career was in the Global Shipping, Freight & Road Transport Industry primarily servicing the Oil & Gas Markets. Graham is also involved in developing and mentoring Directors and their Boards, in new and upcoming companies in the ongoing development of their business. He also finds time to work with a charity providing support to under privileged children in and around the City of Aberdeen.
John Anderson
Non-Executive Director
Co-founder of Entrepreneurial Scotland and former Chief Executive of The Entrepreneurial Exchange, John brings considerable experience and is an influential commentator on issues facing emerging and high growth companies.
John is a founding GlobalScot, a participant in the MIT REAP Scotland project, a regular expert contributor to the Scottish Government’s National Economic Forum, Chairman of the Gabriel Investments angel syndicate and sits on the Enterprise Research Centre advisory group.
